Notebook Computers Are Not Laptops
I dropped my laptop and I took it to Fry’s to see how much it would cost to fix it. It would cost more to fix then I paid for it. I looked around and didn’t see anything that interested me. I knew I wanted something eventually that is lighter and smaller. The next day I went to Walmart’s electronics department and I saw Laptops and Notebooks. I looked at the notebook and it was exactly what I wanted. Small, light weight; reasonable price. Once home, I read about the computer and decided this is the computer for me.
Customer Manipulation At Best Buy
The next day, I visit Best Buy. I walk over to where the displayed laptops are and I don’t see any notebooks. I ask a sales person where they are and he says “right there.” No, those are laptops. “Same thing.” No there not. I ask another sales person and he repeats the same words. Why are you saying that? You know a notebook is different from a laptop.
Third sales person. Where are the notebooks displayed? “Right here.” You gotta be kidding me. A notebook isn’t a laptop, you know this, better than me. He takes his phone out and says “I’ll google it. See, it says a notebook is like a laptop.” This is unbelievable, sad and not right. Have a good day. Associates are intentionally miss leading customers, enforced by management I believe.
It Pays To Be Informed
Notebooks are the new version of laptops. Technology is ever evolving. First the desktop computer, then the laptop and now the notebook and IPad. These devices are smaller, lighter and functions very much like laptops and are less expensive. It Pays To Be Informed.
