Women Our Personal Journey Begins As Early as The Embryo Stage
“All the eggs that a woman will produce throughout her adult life exist, in a very immature form, in the ovaries even as early as the embryo stage. Approximately 4,000,000 immature eggs are seen in an embryo during pregnancy.
By the time that baby girl is born this number has fallen to about 2,000,000 and keeps on falling, until, at puberty, there are only about 300,000 remaining. The ovaries also produce hormones estrogen and Progesterone, which are necessary to prepare the uterus for menstruation.”
Puberty starts at about 8 years old up to 16 years old and the average age is 11. During this time, the reproductive system matures and the menstrual period begins. Our bodies start looking shapely, womanly and young ladies and women are now able to become pregnant.
Twenties – Forties
During our 20’s, 30’s and 40’s psychologically and physiologically women are dedicated to building life styles including getting educated, working and starting careers. Becoming nutritionally aware and adding exercise to our life style. Women choose to stay single or get married, have a child, children or no children, purchase or lease cars, buy or rent homes, we enjoy socializing, traveling and more.

Fifty’s And Beyond
During our 50’s and beyond women can slow down and enjoy their accomplishments, family, friends, pets, travel and continue to be curious. Educating ourselves about menopause also known as “The Change”, which occurs around age 51 and as early as 30 will help us mentally to prepare for the physiological changes.
“The Change” is normal and natural – “defined as the final menstrual period and usually confirmed when a woman has not had her period for 12 consecutive months.” Life style affects the process – Like: Sleep deprivation – Diet – Physical Activity – Smoking and Drinking Alcohol.
My sister – in law (in her 50’s) and I were talking one evening and she had a intense hot flash, including sweating. Once she cooled off she mentioned how extreme her hot flashes can be, especially at night. I said wow, is this what I have to look foreword to, she smiled and said yes.
She also said her period stopped for 8 months and started again during the 9th month of this year and she was Totally Devastated. That meant the no period for 12 consecutive month process has to start all over again. While smiling, she said ‘pray for me we’ll see what happens next year.’
